Honestly!!! One of the best b'days i have ever had.... :)
My frenz at office could not have thought of a better way to wish me (or rather not wish me ;-) )on my birthday... Left unwished for some more time... I would be literally in tears....
Believe me... It feels terrible when ur dear frenz fail to wish u on your b'day....
The usual bus ride to office on 23rd Aug morning seemed never ending , for Hannah ( I cant believe Hannah could do this ) failed to wish me that morning though we take the same bus to office...I waited.... I waited.... but all in vain.... We reached office and there was no sign of her wishing me....
At office, to my surprise , none of my frenz bothered to wish me. They would pass by my cubicle, say hi! and leave.... At one point of time, I started wondering if it was my birthday that day... I thought .. may be i'll send a mail askin everybody to have sweets from my desk.. and that would remind them of my B'day... but to no avail.... and let me tell u... nobody touched the sweets.... That was it... Shamelessly, i reminded some of them that it was my b'day... but again to my surprise ... they just smiled and left.. :(
O man!!! what was happening.... I was almost on the verge of tears.
At tea time ,as usual, our 'taang kheencho' group gathered for tea. And by now i had given up all hopes of anybody wishing me. but then..something happened. Everybody started laughing looking at each other. I was confused for a minute. And then .. everybody started singing ' Happy b'day to u...' and i did not know how to react :). After that, my friends presented me with a very beautiful pearl necklace. Well.. that was one of the greatest b'day's I have ever had.........
